THE BRIEF

A local website.
A connected way to work.

The starting point was a contractor website with a Northern Ontario feel, real project photography and a straightforward way to ask for work.

The build expanded around one reusable job file, carrying the details from the first request through quotes, invoices and payment records.

FOLLOW THE DETAILS

One request.
A clear next step.

Actual screens from an isolated training copy. The example details, prices and payment records are for demonstration.

CUSTOMER ENQUIRY

Make it easy
to explain the job.

Customers describe the work and add project photos. An email address or phone number gives the contractor a way to reply; the street address is optional.

  • Up to four photos stay with the request.
  • A saved reference confirms the enquiry was received.
  • The details carry through to the working job file.

JOB FILE + CUSTOMER QUOTE

Keep the working details.
Preserve the quote.

One job file holds the scope, private notes and material and labour costs. Customer quotes use their own line items.

  • Internal notes stay separate from customer documents.
  • Issued quotes save a numbered version.
  • Later job edits do not silently rewrite an earlier quote.

INVOICES + PAYMENT RECORDS

See what’s recorded.
Know what remains.

Download customer PDFs, record payments already received and check the remaining balance against the invoice.

  • Saved documents remain connected to the job.
  • PDFs can be sent through the contractor’s usual email.
  • Payment records track money received; the tool does not collect payments.

AFTER THE BUILD

Made to maintain.

The website includes editing tools for business details, services and project photos. An operating guide and a screenshot walkthrough support the handover.

HOW THE WORK WAS MADE

I led the project direction and development, refined the customer and contractor workflows, and coordinated the build, checks and handover material. AI tools assisted with development, review and documentation.
